Hi everyone,
This has been a good week of learning via "Screenmeadows" and it is so great to see some of the very good work being completed and submitted by students. Home Learning isn't ideal for anyone - I think we can all agree on that! A big shout out to parents who are supporting their kids to get on line, complete their assignments etc. We know it isn't easy and we just appreciate everyone doing what they can, when they can!
And a shout out to our teachers as well who are putting a marvellous effort into teaching their class online. We all miss being at school - we miss the daily face to face contact with our tamariki and are looking forward to Level 2 when we can all get back to a little bit of normal!
I do want to let parents know that there will be no google meets scheduled by teachers in Screenmeadows on Monday. Board of Trustees are supporting the wellbeing of our staff by encouraging them to have a long weekend with their families to recharge and refresh the batteries before starting classes again on Tuesday. Students are able to continue with their schoolwork independently - most have plenty of assigned tasks yet to be completed and they can also work on their Mathletics.
Read on for information about the following:
I do hope you are all safe in your bubbles. Fingers crossed we see a shift in Alert Levels next week! Have a lovely weekend everyone - hopefully the weather will improve!
Ngā mihi
Cathy Chalmers
