Kia ora whanau!
As the Prime Minister has announced, at 6am Sunday 28 February, Auckland goes back into Level 3. This means that students are to stay home if they can. While this is not what any of us wanted to have happen, it is important we all stay home to stop the spread of these latest cases of COVID-19.
We at GIS are well prepared for this new lockdown and will be able to launch "Screenmeadows" from Monday. Parents will be sent an email on Sunday 28 February, including information about how parents will be able to borrow devices from school should they need them for their child to access the online learning. We will also have hard packs available as well.
School will be open at Alert Level 3 for students of essential workers who are unable to be supervised by an adult at home while they are working. Please email me if you need your child to attend bubble school at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A zoom meeting has been scheduled for all staff at 9.00a.m. Monday, so please be patient - teachers will not be available until after that time.
Kia kaha whanau! Stay safe, stay well and stay home if you can.
We got this! As always, feel free to email if you have any questions or concerns.
