MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Greenmeadows Intermediate is a great school and coming here is an excellent choice!
Situated on the east side of Manurewa, Greenmeadows Intermediate is a Decile 3 school that draws from a very diverse community. 20 different ethnic groups are represented amongst our students and during their time with us, they are provided with a rich education in a learning environment that is responsive, engaging and challenging.
The intermediate years of schooling are a very special time in a student’s life. Over the two years they attend intermediate, we notice huge growth in students; academically, socially and physically. Our school is extremely well placed to ensure your child is well catered for in all of these areas; we do this by ensuring our curriculum is specially designed to foster high levels of learning and the particular key competencies they will need as they move on to high school. This was recognised by The Education Review Office; Greenmeadows Intermediate is placed on the 4 – 5 year review cycle.
Being the Principal of Greenmeadows is a very rewarding job! I joined the staff in May 2008 and enjoy being part of an exciting, vibrant learning environment with settled, engaged students and a strongly committed teaching staff who are all specialists in teaching this particular age group.
Greenmeadows Intermediate prides itself on welcoming students from all walks of life through our doors. We have a strongly inclusive culture and celebrate the differences amongst our students, staff and community. We do not currently have an enrolment zone – anyone can choose to attend our school.
We welcome visitors to our school – feel free to ring the school office and make a time to come and see our school in action!
